CRD’s Professional Swaging Service
$2.95 per Fitting

Simplify your cable railing installation with our factory swaging service.  Fittings are securely attached to cables by compressing all sides of the sleeve simultaneously with 175 tons of swaging power. The result is a completed cable assembly with the cleanest and strongest connections and a high quality finish, ready to be installed on your deck or balcony. Use our professional swaging service and you’ll avoid tedious hand swaging, giving you more time to enjoy your finished stainless cable railing.

Professional Swaging comes with a 10 Year limited warranty from Cable Railing Direct.

NOTE: We cannot accept returns on custom swaging. We will work with you to ensure that what you order is exactly what you need the first time. Cable Railing Direct assemblies, fittings, and wire rope should only be used for their intended purpose within the cables safe workload limit and never be used in lifting or other high load applications.

Hole Drilling
If you’d like your posts to arrive pre-drilled, rather than having to drill them yourself upon arrival, take advantage of our angled hole drilling service.

Mitre Cutting
Let us prepare your top rail for clean corners through our mitre cutting service.

Post Cutting
We typically send our aluminum posts longer than they need to be. This way you can cut them yourself upon arrival, as it’s rather easy and gives you greater control over the end product, provided you already have the necessary equipment. If you don’t, then take advantage of our post cutting service!

Crimper Die
If you’re getting a crimper, you’ll need some die for it. Make sure you select the die that corresponds with your cable thickness.

Stainless Steel Passivator
This handy product is highly recommended for stainless steel railing systems, especially square shape. Spray your railing regularly to prevent and remove rust!

Scotch-Weld Epoxy Kit
This kit comes with everything you’ll need to attach the stainless steel components of your railing mounting system. The glue is made specifically for stainless steel, ensuring a quality hold.

Apex & Drill Bits
Here are some less specialized tools you might need for the job, in case you don’t have them already. The Apex bit fits our base plate screws so you can drill them in. Our cobalt drill bits come in a variety of recommended sizes for drilling the holes in your posts (provided you decide to do this yourself).

Rockite
This non-shrinking grout is used only for core mounting methods, to secure the posts within their holes and fill any extra space.
